Concrete floor tiles are a great alternative to traditional slab-on-grade, vinyl or linoleum flooring. They’re easy to install and maintain, but they still offer many of the same benefits as other types of flooring. Concrete floor tiles have a few distinct advantages over other materials though:
Create a Design and Pattern
Now that you have your tiles, it’s time to create a pattern. To do this, you’ll need something to help you keep the lines straight and even.
A grid is perfect for this task because it keeps everything in order, and makes sure your design will flow seamlessly from start to finish. You can also use a pencil to draw out the lines before spreading concrete in between them—just be careful not to get any on your tile!
Once everything is dry, simply place down another layer of concrete over top of your design (or “float” as they call it) and repeat the process again until all of your tiles are covered with concrete.
Pour the Concrete Into the Forms
Now that the forms are set, it’s time to put the concrete in them. Before you do, make sure that your concrete has been mixed thoroughly. Use a large bucket and trowel for this job; work in small batches of about one cubic yard each.
Pour the concrete into your forms until they’re level with the top edge of each form and then smooth it out with a trowel so that there aren’t any lumps or bumps sticking up above the surface.
Allow to Cure, Remove Forms, and Clean
Once the concrete has cured, remove the forms and clean up any mess. Allow it to cure for at least 24 hours before walking on it or using heavy machinery in the area. If you want a polished look, you can use a concrete sealer after a couple of weeks have gone by.
Concrete floor tiles are easy to install and look great when combined with other materials like ceramic tile or natural stone. They can be used indoors or outdoors and last for many years if properly maintained.
The key
The key is to make sure that the concrete is poured into forms and allowed to cure before removing them so that they will have a strong structure that won’t bend or crack over time.
Once cured, remove the forms by lifting them off one side at a time using gloves or pliers as needed so as not damage any of them during removal process which could result in cracks from stress being placed on surface area where removed form left behind without support base beneath it anymore now only has one side left standing upright but still attached edge because other side was removed completely cleanly smooth surface remains intact no harm done yet. Just make sure to select the right company after taking right reference.
